About Me

Hello and Welcome!  My name is Marie Honda.  I provide psychotherapy services for couples, families, and individuals, including adolescents and children and can help with a variety of problems.  I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and use attachment theory to guide my work.  EFT has significant research behind it indicating high rates of effectiveness with couples. This model is also effective with families and individuals. Using EFT as a guide, my approach to treatment is personalized to meet the individual needs of each client.  I strive to

provide a safe and comfortable environment and build a collaborative and supportive relationship.  My intent is to help you resolve
the problems that you are struggling with and help you create the life and relationships that you desire. 

I am in a 30-year bi-cultural marriage and have two young adult children.  I am fluent in Spanish and provide culturally sensitive therapy.  I enjoy working with clients of all races, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations, physical abilities, and spiritual paths.  I welcome and appreciate diversity in my clients and in my own life.  One of my core values in my personal and professional life is respect – for the individual, their life experience, all living things, and planet earth.
